Six civilians injured in mine explosions in Kharkiv region

On September 18, 2022, six civilians were injured in mine explosions in the Kharkiv region. All of them were taken to hospital.

The relevant statement was made by Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Syniehubov on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“As the occupiers escaped, the mine danger is very high within the liberated areas of the Kharkiv region. Over the past day, six civilians have been injured in mine explosions: two people driving a car in the Derhachi district, two in the Izium district and two in the Chuhuiv district. All of them were taken to hospital with injuries,” the report states.

According to Syniehubov, over the past day, Russian troops have been shelling the Kharkiv region’s settlements situated along the contact line and the border with the Russian Federation in such districts as Kupiansk, Izium, Chuhuiv and Kharkiv. Enemy projectiles caused damage to residential houses, household buildings and infrastructure facilities.

Casualties among civilians were also reported. An 11-year-old boy was injured in Kupiansk, and a 65-year-old woman was taken to hospital with injuries in the Chuhuiv district.
