Death toll in Russian missile strike on humanitarian convoy in Zaporizhzhia climbs to 25

At least 25 people have been killed and about 50 wounded in a Russian missile strike on civilian vehicles in Zaporizhzhia, the press service of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office has said.

"At the moment, we know about 25 dead and about 50 wounded, including child casualties... Proceedings have been launched due to the violation of the laws and customs of war," the report said.

According to the investigation, on September 30, 2022, at around 07:30, the armed forces of the aggressor country, disregarding the norms of international humanitarian law, launched a missile attack on Zaporizhzhia. A civilian humanitarian convoy came under fire on its way out of the city near a car market.

According to the Zaporizhzhia police, Russian troops fired three S-300 missiles at a humanitarian convoy near the Zaporizhzhia-Orikhiv highway. Earlier reports said that about 23 civilians had been killed and more than 60 wounded in the attack.
