Zelensky awards 142 Ukrainian defenders, 32 of them posthumously

The relevant decrees as of October 6, No.690/2022 and No.689/2022, were published on the president’s website.

In particular, for personal courage and heroism shown in the defense of Ukraine’s state sovereignty and territorial integrity, loyalty to the military oath, military personnel were awarded three Hero of Ukraine titles, two orders of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi of the ІІ degree and nine of the ІІІ degree,

Also, 28 defenders were honored with the order "For Courage" of the III degree, more than 90 defenders were awarded medals "For Military Service to Ukraine".

As reported, President Zelensky presented the honorary award "For Courage and Bravery" to several military units.
