The Planet company published satellite images of the damaged Kerch Strait Bridge (Crimea Bridge) after a powerful explosion on Saturday.

“This pair of PlanetScope images, captured just one day apart on October 7 and 8, 2022, shows the damaged Kerch Strait Bridge following a major explosion today. This is the only bridge that connects the Crimean peninsula with the Russian mainland,” the company tweeted.

On the morning of October 8, a powerful explosion took place on the Crimea Bridge connecting Russia and the temporarily occupied Ukrainian Crimea. Fuel tanks caught fire. The blast collapsed part of the roadway.
