Enemy continues its offensive in Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions

The enemy tries to hold the temporarily captured territories, focuses its efforts on attempts to disrupt the counteroffensive actions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces in certain directions, and continues offensive actions in Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions.

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06:00, October 10, posted on Facebook.

As noted, the enemy shells the Ukrainian positions along the contact line, reinforces defensive positions and lines in some directions, conducts aerial reconnaissance, strikes critical infrastructure and residential neighborhoods, violating the norms of international humanitarian law, the laws and customs of war.

There is a threat of airstrikes and missile strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine. Over the past day, the occupiers launched 10 missile strikes and 19 airstrikes, more than 90 MLRS attacks.

As a result, over the past day, the infrastructure and civilians of more than 30 settlements, including Zaporizhzhia, Slovyansk, Novobakhmutivka, Siversk, Bilohorivka, Nikopol, and Blahodativka, were affected.

The enemy used seven anti-aircraft guided missiles to attack Zaporizhzhia. Once again, the critical infrastructure of the city and the homes of civilians were hit.

The situation in Volyn and Polissia directions has not changed significantly.

The enemy opened fire in other directions:

In Siversky direction: from mortars and tube artillery, in the areas of Popivka, Starykove, Vorozhba, Yanzhulivka, and Myropillia settlements.

In Slobozhansky direction: from mortars, tube and rocket artillery, in the areas of Chervona Zoria, Veterynarne, Strilecha, Mali Prokhody, Vovchansk, Kamyanka, Dvorichna, and Hrinkivka settlements.

In Kramatorsk direction: from tanks, mortars, tube and rocket artillery along the entire contact line, in particular, in the areas of Pershotravneve, Siversk, Makiivka, Novoyehorivka, Stelmakhivka, Terny, Torske, and Zarichne. The enemy also blew up railway and road bridge crossings near Svatove.

In Bakhmut direction: from tanks, mortars, tube and rocket artillery along the entire contact line, in particular near Rozdolivka, Serebryanka, Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamyanske, Zaitseve, Krasna Hora, Soledar. In addition, the occupiers mined the area near Berestove.

In Avdiivka direction: from tanks, mortars, tube and rocket artillery, the areas of Avdiivka, Kamyanka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Pisky, Krasnohorivka, and Marinka settlements.

In Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia directions, more than 20 settlements, including Vuhledar, Novopil, Shakhtarske, Mali Shcherbaky, Velyka Novosilka, Malynivka, and Mala Tokmachka, came under fire.

In Southern Buh direction, more than 25 settlements along the contact line came under fire. Near Dudchany, the enemy used a combat UAV. In total, the occupiers made up to 30 UAV sorties to conduct aerial reconnaissance.

Over the past day, the Ukrainian troops repelled the enemy attacks in the areas of Ozarianivka, Kamyanka, Pervomayske, and Nevelske settlements.

Ukraine’s aviation launched 24 strikes over the past day. Damage to 20 areas of build-up of weapons and military equipment, as well as four anti-aircraft missile systems, was confirmed. In addition, the Ukrainian air defense units shot down a Su-25 enemy aircraft, three UAVs, and three Kh-59 guided air missiles yesterday.
