Ukraine returns bodies of 62 defenders, including fighters from Olenivka prison
According to Ukrinform, the Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine said this in a statement on Telegram.
"Today, Ukraine returned the bodies of the heroes. The negotiations were difficult, but thanks to the painstaking work of the entire team of the Commissioner for Missing Persons, Oleh Kotenko, it was possible to return our soldiers, including fighters from the long-suffering Olenivka," the report reads.
On the night of July 29, a powerful explosion rocked a building of the former penal colony No. 210 in Olenivka, Donetsk region, where Ukrainian prisoners of war were held. According to the Russian side, the explosion killed about 50 Ukrainian defenders and seriously injured more than 70.
