Ukrainian air defense forces shoot down Shahed drones using Polish systems - Zaluzhnyi
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.
“Over the past 48 hours, units of the air defense missile division shot down 9 of 11 Shahed-136 UAVs. This is the result of the high-quality training of our anti-aircraft gunners, which was conducted by Polish brothers,” he wrote.
He noted Poland provided the systems using which Ukrainian forces shoot down enemy Shahed-136 drones with Soviet missiles.
“These are the realities of today's war. I’m grateful to our Polish brothers!” Zaluzhnyi wrote.
As reported by Ukrinform, on October 10, the Russian Federation carried out a massive missile attack on Ukraine’s territory. 84 cruise missiles and 24 drones were launched. As a result of the strikes, critical infrastructure facilities were damaged, power supply and mobile communications were interrupted in some areas.
