Ukraine’s aviation launches 27 strikes on enemy, air defense units down 10 Shahed drones

During the day, the enemy launched three missile strikes and four airstrikes, as well as up to 10 MLRS attacks, on the Ukrainian populated settlements. Ukraine’s aviation launched 27 strikes on the areas of weapons and military equipment build-up of the Russian army.

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00, October 12, published on Facebook.

"During the day, the occupiers launched three missile strikes and four airstrikes, up to 10 MLRS attacks. The objects and civilians of more than 10 settlements, including Mali Shcherbaky, Ochakiv, Nikopol, and Myrne, were hit by enemy strikes. The infrastructure facilities in the territory of Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv regions were struck. The enemy used cruise, aviation, and anti-aircraft guided missiles for strikes," the report reads.

In addition, the occupiers continue to use Iranian-made Shahed-136 unmanned aerial vehicles. Ten of them were destroyed by the air defense forces and means of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

In Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation has not changed significantly.

The enemy opened fire in other directions. In particular, in Siversky direction: mortars and tube artillery were fired in the areas of Hai, Chernihiv region, and Myropillia, Stukalivka, Seredyna Buda, Rozhkovychi, and Pavlivka, Sumy region. The enemy also used combat drones.

In Slobozhansky direction: mortars, tube and rocket artillery were fired in the areas of Vovchansk, Strilecha, and Udy. UAV was used to adjust artillery fire.

In Kramatorsk direction: tanks, mortars, tube and rocket artillery were used along the entire contact line, particularly, in the areas of Bilohorivka, Hrekivka, Zarichne, Serebrianka, Spirne, Terny, and Torske settlements. The enemy mines bridge crossings.

In Bakhmut direction: the enemy inflicted fire damage along the entire contact line, particularly, in the areas of Bakhmut, Soledar, Mayorsk, New York, and Zalizne settlements.

In Avdiivka direction: tanks and artillery of various types were used in the areas of Avdiivka, Vodiane, Nevelske, Pervomaiske, Oleksandropil, Novokalynove, Marinka, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, and Tonenke settlements.

The enemy did not carry out offensive actions in Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia directions. More than 20 settlements, including Novosilka, Zaliznychne, Bilohirya, Vremivka, Malynivka, Neskuchne, Orikhiv, Charivne, and Olhivske came under fire.

More than 40 settlements along the entire contact line were shelled in Southern Buh direction.

Over the past day, the units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled enemy attacks near Novosadove, Bakhmutske, Ivanhrad, Bakhmut, Soledar, Spirne, Mayorsk, and Krasnohorivka.

Ukraine’s aviation launched 27 strikes, hitting more than 20 areas of weapons and military equipment build-up, as well as six anti-aircraft missile systems of the enemy. In addition, the Ukrainian air defense units shot down 10 enemy UAVs and four helicopters.

Missile and artillery troops hit three command posts, 10 areas of manpower, weapons, and military equipment build-up, and four ammunition depots. In addition, air defense and electronic defense positions and other military targets also fell into the fire damage zone.
