Ukrainian forces repel enemy attacks near six settlements

At the same time, the Russian invaders are trying to conduct offensive operations in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka areas.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its morning update, Ukrinform reports.

"In the past 24 hours, units of the Defense Forces repelled attacks by the occupiers outside the settlements of Berestove, Kharkiv region; Bakhmutske, Ivanhrad, Klishchiivka, Pervomaiske, and Marinka, Donetsk region," the report said.

The enemy is shelling the positions of Ukrainian troops along the entire contact line, equipping defensive positions and lines in separate directions and conducting aerial reconnaissance. Violating the norms of international humanitarian law, the laws and customs of war, the enemy strikes critical infrastructure and the homes of the civilian population.

In the past day, the enemy launched ten missile strikes and 58 air strikes, using multiple launch rocket systems up to 60 times.

The enemy attacked areas of more than 35 settlements, including Kyiv and the Kyiv region, the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions, Bilohorivka, Terny, Krasnohorivka and Mariinka in the Donetsk region, Nova Kamianka and Bilohirka in the Kherson region. For these attacks, the enemy used cruise, air and anti-aircraft guided missiles. In addition, 43 Iranian-made Shahed-136 kamikaze drones were used, with 38 of them shot down by Ukrainian soldiers.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation has not changed significantly. The threat of missile and air strikes, as well as the use of Shahed-136 drones from Belarus, remains.

In the northeastern direction, the enemy fired artillery of various ranks to shell areas of the settlements of Senkivka in the Chernihiv region and Seredyna-Buda and Dmytrivka in the Sumy region.

In the Kharkiv region, the enemy used tanks, mortars and artillery outside the settlements of Khatnie, Starytsia and Strilecha.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy used mortars and artillery outside Berestove, Hrianykivka, Dvorichna, Kotliarivka, Serebrianka and Stelmakhivka.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy used artillery of various calibers outside the settlements of Bilohorivka, Hrekivka, Zarichne, Nadiia, Novoiehorivka and Terny. The enemy also used strik drones in the area.

In the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions, the enemy fired tanks, mortars and artillery along the contact line.

In the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia directions, the enemy shelled more than 15 settlements, including Bilohiria, Bogoiavlenka, Vuhledar, Malynivka, Orikhiv and Shevchenko.

In the Southern Bug direction, the occupiers shelled military and civilian infrastructure. Areas of more than 20 settlements along the contact line came under fire. The enemy made more than 30 UAV sorties to conduct aerial reconnaissance.
