Two rescuers killed, four injured in mine explosion in Kharkiv region
Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"The danger of landmines is still very high in the region. Yesterday in the Izium district, a car with employees of the State Emergency Service was blown up by a mine. Unfortunately, two people were killed and four others injured," the report said.
According to the regional military administration, Russian forces shelled four districts in the Kharkiv region on October 19, injuring one person.
"In the past 24 hours, the enemy shelled population centers of the Kharkiv, Izium, Chuhuiv and Kupiansk districts. In particular, yesterday, at around 16:00, Vovchansk came under artillery fire, a shop building was destroyed. The Russians also shelled with artillery the areas of the settlements of Hoptivka, Hrianykivka, Kolodiazne, Krasne, Ohirtseve, Strilecha, Berestove, Kyslivka and Pershotravneve. According to the Regional Center for Emergency Medical Assistance, a 78-year-old resident of the Izium district was hospitalized with injuries in the past day," Syniehubov said.
Fighting continues on the contact line, in the Kupiansk direction.
