Ukraine liberates 88 settlements in Kherson region, 551 in Kharkiv region
That’s according to the Deputy Head of the President’s Office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, who spoke at a Kyiv briefing on Friday, Ukrinform reports.
"Kherson region. A total of 88 settlements have been de-occupied. 11,827 civilians live here," the official said.
According to Tymoshenko, humanitarian aid is currently being provided to the residents of the de-occupied settlements in Beryslav district, the restoration of life support systems is underway in the liberated settlements, namely: damaged power lines are being repaired, transformer substations are being inspected, and new power poles are being installed.
Tymoshenko also said 120 kilometers of motorways have been cleared, mobile communication has been restored, while work on demining the de-occupied territories continues.
He emphasized that a total of 156 war crimes have been documented since the beginning of the de-occupation effort in Kherson region.
The deputy head of the President’s Office also said that 551 settlements had been de-occupied in Kharkiv region where 1,685 war crimes were registered.
Tymoshenko noted that the Russians continue to shell Kharkiv and the surrounding area, having already destroyed more than 12,000 objects.
Emergency restoration works are ongoing at 167 objects in the de-occupied territory.
