Most fierce battles raging in Donetsk region now – Zelensky

The most fierce battles are now raging in the Donetsk region, namely in the Bakhmut direction and the city of Avdiivka.
The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his video address, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The situation on the front has not changed significantly. The most fierce battles are raging in the Donetsk region: the Bakhmut direction, the city of Avdiivka. The madness of the Russian command is most visible there at the moment. Day after day for months, they have been driving people to their death there, concentrating the maximum power of artillery strikes there,” Zelensky said.
In his words, all the Ukrainian defenders holding positions in these areas in the Donetsk region are simply heroes.
