Russian forces shell two communities in Sumy region, woman wounded

As Russian troops shelled on Sunday two communities in Sumy region bordering Russia, 28 hits were recorded, with a local woman reported as injured.

That’s according to the chief of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, Ukrinform reports.

"The enemy fired 82 mm mortars (12 explosions) at the Krasnopil community. A woman was injured in the attack. She sustained a mine-explosive injury. Doctors removed a fragment from her head. Now the victim's life and health are not in danger," the official wrote on Telegram.

The enemy also shelled the Seredyno-Buda community, employing 120 mm mortars. A total of 16 hits were recorded. A household and a car were damaged in one of the villages of the community.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on October 29, Russian troops shelled five communities in Sumy region. For their strikes, the enemy used artillery, mortars, and drones.
