Battles ongoing on Svatove–Kreminna highway section
"This highway is under our fire control, we hit everything that can move on it, and accordingly, we do not allow the enemy to move personnel, military equipment, or ammunition along it. Therefore, battles are ongoing there. In the area of Bilohorivka, the enemy tries to counterattack but our units fight back," Serhiy Cherevatyy, Spokesperson for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said during the nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
The invaders are likely to try to seize the initiative on this section of the highway, but the command of the Armed Forces "is thinking steps ahead so that this does not happen," he noted.
As reported, the invaders mined riverbanks, roads, and bridges, and also blew up another bridge near Svatove and Kreminna in Luhansk region.
