Ukrainian troops strike nine targets with missiles, launch three airstrikes on enemy

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00, November 5, published on Facebook.

As noted, the enemy tries to hold the temporarily captured territories, focuses its efforts on restraining the actions of the Defense Forces in certain directions, tries to go on the offensive in Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Novopavlivka directions.

The enemy shells the units of the Defense Forces along the contact line, reinforces border fortifications in some directions, and conducts aerial reconnaissance.

Moreover, the enemy continues to strike critical infrastructure and civilian houses, violating the norms of international humanitarian law, laws and customs of war.

"During the day, the enemy launched four missile strikes, five airstrikes, more than 20 MLRS attacks. The enemy hit the areas of more than 20 settlements of Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions," the report reads.

The situation in Volyn and Polissia directions has not changed significantly.

In Slobozhansky direction, the enemy fired mortars and tube artillery on the areas of Budarky, Hlyboke, Zolochiv, Krasne, Ohirtseve and Starytsia settlements in Kharkiv region.

In Kupyansk and Lyman directions, tanks, mortars, tube and rocket artillery were fired on the areas of Dvorichna, Kyslivka and Tabayivka settlements in Kharkiv region; Makiivka, Nevske and Ploshchanka in Luhansk region; Torske and Yampolivka in Donetsk region.

In Bakhmut direction, tanks and artillery were fired on the areas of Andriivka, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Zelenopillia, Klishchiivka, Mayorsk, Opytne, Soledar, Spirne, and Yakovlivka settlements in Donetsk region.

In Avdiivka direction, tanks and artillery were fired on the areas of Avdiivka, Vodiane, Kamyanka, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Nevelske and Pervomaiske settlements in Donetsk region.

In Novopavlivka direction, mortars, tube and rocket artillery were fired on the areas of Bohoyavlenka, Velyka Novosilka, Vuhledar, Vremivka, Pavlivka, Novoukrayinka, and Prechystivka settlements in Donetsk region.

In Zaporizhzhia direction, tanks and artillery were fired on the areas of Huliaypilske, Dorozhnianka, Zaliznychne, Malynivka, Novodanylivka, Uspenivka, and Shcherbaky settlements in Zaporizhzhia region.

More than 20 settlements near the contact line came under enemy fire in Southern Buh direction. In particular, Bilohirka, Davydiv Brid and Pravdyne in Kherson region and Zoria, Myrne and Shyroke in Mykolaiv region were hit.

In Kherson region, the Ukrainian troops struck the area of Russian troops build-up in the settlement of Radensk. The enemy losses are specified.

During the day, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched three strikes on the enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment clusters and air defense systems. The Ukrainian air defense units shot down a Merlin UAV. According to detailed information, two Ka-52 helicopters were destroyed during the previous day.

The missile and artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck nine enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment clusters and an ammunition depot during the day.
