U.S. Representative to UN: We will hold Russia accountable for war crimes
She stated this at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine - Ukrinform in Kyiv.
The U.S. representative to the UN said she visited a forensic laboratory in Ukraine, where specialists carefully examine the sites of war crimes and collect the necessary evidence. The U.S. diplomat emphasized that this evidence will be used by the Ukrainian courts, the international courts and other facilities to hold those who committed atrocities accountable.
“My message to Russian forces is simple: we will hold you accountable for your war crimes. Justice will prevail," Thomas-Greenfield stressed.
According to her, she is returning to the United States "determined to hold Russia accountable,” to continue fight the food crisis, as well as to help Ukraine get through the winter months.
She also stressed that the United States will stand with Ukraine, along with partners and allies, as long as it takes.
As reported, U.S. Representative to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield arrived in Kyiv on November 8. At a meeting with Thomas Greenfield, President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the need to create an air shield for Ukraine and continue the grain initiative.
