General Staff: Armed Forces of Ukraine had 347 clashes with enemy this week

"A total of 347 armed clashes have taken place during the operation of the Defense Forces this week. The enemy has launched 32 missile strikes and 134 airstrikes on our territory," Brigadier General Oleksiy Hromov, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said at a briefing.

According to him, the situation in Volyn, Zhytomyr, and Kyiv directions is stable. At the same time, the Russian troops continue to build up in the territory of Belarus.

"In the territory of the Republic of Belarus, measures to deploy a regional group of troops of the so-called allied state, which can operate in Volyn and Polissia operational areas, are taken. The relevant law enforcement agencies and local self-government bodies of the Republic of Belarus train and receive the Russian military contingent from among the persons mobilized in the territory of the Russian Federation," the Brigadier General said.

In Chernihiv and Sumy directions, the enemy has launched more than 40 disturbing strikes on the territory of Ukraine since the beginning of the week. The civilian infrastructure objects were hit in the areas of three settlements of Chernihiv region and 13 settlements of Sumy region.

In Kharkiv direction, the enemy has made futile attempts to go on the offensive in the areas of several settlements, Hromov informed.
