Defense Forces eliminated 40 invaders in south in past day

"The situation in Tavriysky operational zone remains tense but controlled by the Defense Forces. The towns and villages of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions freed from the occupiers return to their life under Ukrainian jurisdiction. The Russian military continues fortifying defense lines on the left bank of the Dnipro River. The enemy continues to evacuate the population from these areas and at the same time launches MLRS and artillery strikes on the Ukrainian troops and the liberated settlements of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

Over the past day, the enemy fired artillery on the positions of Ukrainian units and territorial communities in Beryslav district. No casualties were reported.

In response, in order to suppress the enemy artillery fire, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck the enemy buildups twice.

Over the past day, the missile and artillery units of the Defense Forces were firing on the enemy positions and areas of manpower, equipment and weapons buildup on the left bank of the Dnipro River.

"According to the updated data, the enemy lost 40 personnel and three military vehicles. The rest of the enemy's losses are being specified," the Operational Command "South" noted.
