Patriot on border with Ukraine: Poland awaiting from Germany details of missile deployment
Polish Minister of National Defense Mariusz Blaszczak wrote about this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.
"I had a conversation with Christine Lambrecht. The Minister of Defense of Germany confirmed their readiness to deploy the Patriot launcher near the border with Ukraine. It remains to determine the version of the system, how quickly the missiles will be delivered (to Poland - ed.), and how long they will be deployed in Poland," Blaszczak said.
The Polish minister expressed hope that the German side would quickly present the details of their decision.
As reported earlier, Yuriy Ihnat, the spokesman for the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform on Monday that Ukraine hopes Poland will install Patriot missiles on the border with Ukraine and protect Ukrainian skies.
As reported, in the village of Przewodów, Lublin Voivodeship, near the Polish-Ukrainian border, two people died as a result of a missile explosion on November 15.
