Yaroslav Yanushevych, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"A child died of injuries at the regional hospital last night. The 13-year-old boy was killed by the Russian occupiers. He and his father were returning home from church, when the Russians opened artillery fire," he wrote.
According to him, two more children were wounded by Russian shelling in the Kherson region: one boy lost his arm, whereas another was wounded in the stomach.
Yanushevych said that the Russian army is fighting only with civilians. In this regard, he once again called on the residents of the region to evacuate to safer regions in Ukraine.
