Another 50 Ukraine defenders returned from Russian captivity

Fifty defenders returned to Ukraine from Russian captivity as part of the latest exchange of prisoners of war.

That’s according to the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, who broke the news on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Another large exchange of prisoners was completed. Fifty defenders of Ukraine were released. We are returning the defenders of Mariupol and Azovstal, we are returning prisoners who were held in Olenivka, those wounded including in battles across Donetsk, Luhansk, and Zaporizhia regions," Yermak noted.

According to the head of the President’s Office, "this is a great work that continues every day. We will work until the last Ukrainian is released. I thank the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War. Everyone will be returned home."

As Ukrinform reported, on November 26, Ukraine ensured the release from Russian captivity of 12 compatriots: eight military and three civilians, one of whom was considered missing. On November 24, 50 Ukrainian soldiers were returned from Russian captivity, including 20 National Guardsmen, 12 servicemen with the Navy, 10 with the Armed Forces, as well as six border guards and two defense intelligence operatives.
