Navy commanders of Ukraine, United States discuss extension of cooperation

Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa and Commander of the United States Sixth Fleet and Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO, Vice Admiral Thomas Ishee have held a meeting via video link.
The relevant statement was made by the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
The parties discussed the situation with the Russian full-scale invasion and the expansion of the areas of military cooperation.
Neizhpapa briefed Ishee on Ukraine’s successes and progress on the battlefield, and the current situation related to Russia’s unlawful actions in the Azov and Black Sea region.
One of the key topics was the provision of technical assistance to Ukraine’s Naval Forces to effectively protect the country from the sea.
Ishee noted the Ukrainian Navy’s high motivation and readiness to counteract Russian armed aggression.
