No threat of offensive in Kupyansk direction, but battles ongoing – Kharkiv RMA
"Our front line has shifted, and Kupyansk direction is the main hot spot now. Let me remind you that 29 settlements there are still under occupation. Active military operations are ongoing in Kupyansk direction. Our Armed Forces hold their positions. We do not see any threats of a possible offensive," Oleh Synegubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said on the air of the nationwide telethon.
However, the local population suffers from constant enemy shelling in this area.
"The town of Kupyansk comes under MLRS and S-300 missile fire. These strikes are constant. Similarly, the populated settlements of Chuhuiv district, in particular the town of Vovchansk, the populated settlements of Kharkiv district in the north, are under attack. The reason is that the front line in the north now runs practically along the border," Synegubov said.
He added in a post on Telegram that after the successful counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the construction of fortifications does not stop, the defense lines are strengthened.
"Believe me, our Armed Forces hold their positions, the counter-battery fight is ongoing. We have enough forces and means in this and other directions to repel the enemy," Synegubov stressed.
As reported, less than 1.5% of the territory remains temporarily occupied in Kharkiv region.
