Russians shell five communities of Sumy region Friday

Russian troops launched 79 mines, projectiles, and other munitions on the territories of Sumy region bordering Russia.

That’s according to the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Dmytro Zhivytskyi, Ukrinform reports.

The invaders shelled the Seredyna Buda community four times: 16 mortar mines and 20 grenades were fired.

The enemy fired artillery at the Mykolaivska community – four hits were confirmed. The Russians opened mortar fire at the Khotynska community, launching 31 mines, also dropping two bombs from a drone.

According to Zhyvytskyi, three enemy mines exploded in the communities of Bilopillia.

Russian troops fired mortars at the Esmanska community — three hits were recorded.

According to the head of the regional administration, there were no casualties as a result of enemy shelling.

As reported by Ukrinform, on Friday, December 16, the Russian Federation once again launched a massive missile attack, targeting energy facilities across Ukraine. Emergency power outages were introduced across the country.

Of the 76 missiles fired by Russia at Ukraine, the Air Defense Forces shot down 60.
