Russians dig trenches, place concrete barriers around Melitopol

"The enemy is 50 km from Zaporizhzhia, 10 km from Orikhiv, 5 km from Huliaypole. [The Russians launched] 62 strikes over the past day. Yesterday, they struck Orikhiv, injuring two people and damaging houses, but we will restore the houses," Oleksandr Starukh, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, said on the air of "We are Ukraine" information media platform, Ukrinform reports.

According to Starukh, the enemy reinforces its positions.

"It will not be easy to break through the defense line. They dug trenches and placed concrete barriers around Melitopol," he added.

Starukh called these warfare methods outdated, noting that the Ukrainian troops have precision weapons and those trenches and barriers will not prevent the Ukrainian military from liberating the cities.
