Ukrainian forces kill more than 100,000 Russian invaders – General Staff
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"Continuing the aggression, in the past 24 hours, the enemy launched six missile strikes and 15 air strikes, in particular, on civilian targets in the Zaporizhzhia region. The enemy also launched 64 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems. Over the past day, our soldiers repelled the attacks of the occupiers outside the settlements of Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Ploshchanka and Chervonopivka in the Luhansk region and Berestove, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Opytne, Kurdiumivka, Ozarianivka, Maiorsk, New York, Krasnohorivka, Nevelske and Marinka in the Donetsk region," the report said.
On December 17 of this year, Ukrainian forces hit an enemy personnel and equipment concentration area near Horlivka, Donetsk region, killing 13 Russian soldiers, including four officers. An amphibious assault vehicle and three trucks with ammunition were also destroyed. Information about those wounded is being clarified.
In order to build fortifications in the Belgorod region, the local Russian leadership announced the recruitment of volunteers for a monetary reward for the construction of trenches and the installation of cement pyramids.
In the past 24 hours, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out 14 strikes on the enemy's military personnel and equipment areas. Ukrainian defenders also shot down an enemy Forpost UAV and two Lancet-3 UAVs.
Ukrainian rocket and artillery units struck three command posts and two areas where the enemy's manpower was concentrated.
In total, since February 24, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has already lost more than 100,000 personnel, 3,000 tanks and about 6,000 other armored vehicles in Ukraine.
