Ukraine’s Air Force strikes invaders thrice during the day

During the day, Ukraine’s Air Force launched three strikes on the enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment clusters. In turn, missile and artillery units hit two Russian manpower clusters and S-300 missile system.

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00, December 24, published on Facebook.

As noted, the Russian military continues to violate the norms of international humanitarian law, the laws and customs of war.

During the day, the invaders launched three missile attacks on civilian objects in Zaporizhzhia region and more than ten MLRS attacks.

The enemy focuses its efforts on conducting offensive operations in Lyman, Bakhmut, and Avdiivka directions and tries to improve its tactical position in Kupyansk direction.

According to the General Staff data, the situation in Volyn, Polissia, and Siversky directions has not changed significantly, no signs of formation of offensive groups have been detected.

In Slobozhansky direction, the Russians fired mortars and artillery at the areas of Huryiv Kozachok, Kozacha Lopan, Kudiivka, Strilecha, Ternova, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Nesterne, Zemlianka, Khatne, and Ambarne in Kharkiv region.

In Kupyansk direction, the Russian troops struck the areas of Novomlynsk, Kupyansk, Kyslivka, Tabaivka, and Krokhmalne in Kharkiv region, as well as Stelmakhivka and Myasozharivka in Luhansk region.

In Lyman direction, the invaders fired on Makiivka, Chervonopopivka, and Dibrova in Luhansk region, as well as in Terny in Donetsk region.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Spirne, Berestove, Vesele, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Paraskoviivka, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Opytne, Stupochky, Klishchiivka, Bila Hora, Dyliivka, Kleban-Byk, Ozarianivka, Pivnichne, and New York in Donetsk region from tanks, mortars, tube and rocket artillery.

In Avdiivka direction, the Russians shelled Kamyanka, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Nevelske, Marinka, and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region. In Novopavlivka direction, Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, Velyka Novosilka, and Vremivka in Donetsk region came under enemy fire.

In Zaporizhzhia region, the invaders shelled the areas of Malynivka, Chervone, Charivne, Bilohirya, Novodanylivka, Mali Shcherbaky, and Stepove in Zaporizhzhia region, as well as Marhanets and Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk region.

In Kherson direction, Russian troops continue to terrorize the civilian population. The civilian infrastructure of Chervonohryhorivka, Dnipropetrovsk region, Burhunka, Antonivka, and Kherson suffered from regular enemy shelling. Civilian casualties were reported.

According to the General Staff data, the aggressors imposed a 24-hour curfew in the temporarily captured Hornostaivka, Kherson region, from December 25, 2022, to January 3, 2023. For almost 10 days, local residents are prohibited from leaving their homes and moving across the settlement.
