Russians make unsuccessful attempts to get to right bank of Dnieper near Kherson

The relevant statement was made by Head of the United Press Center of the Defense Forces in the Tavrian Direction Yevhenii Yerin during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Indeed, there are certain actions on the part of the enemy and their sabotage and reconnaissance groups, related to their activities on islands near Kherson. Small reconnaissance groups are making attempts to get to the opposite bank. At the same time, our intelligence units are watching their actions and, usually, artillery strikes are launched on such groups. If detected, such groups are immediately eliminated. The enemy is not allowed to gain a foothold and expand activities in this direction,” Yerin told.

In his words, Ukraine’s Defense Forces are ready to disrupt the enemy’s attempts to get to the right-bank Kherson. The Ukrainian military are now strengthening positions, namely creating mine barriers along the right bank of the Dnieper, where clashes with the enemy are possible. Ukraine’s missile, artillery and air force units are ready to strike enemy positions at any time.
