Air defense systems knocked down 16 missiles over Kyiv - Klitschko

Ukrainian air defense forces have destroyed 16 missiles in the sky over Kyiv.
According to Ukrinform, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said this in a post on the messaging app Telegram.
"According to initial information from air defense forces, 15 missiles were destroyed over Kyiv," he wrote.
He later clarified that 16 missiles had been shot down over Kyiv.
Early on December 29, Russian troops attacked Ukraine from various directions with cruise missiles fired from strategic aircraft and ships.
In Kyiv, fragments of downed Russian missiles damaged two private houses in the Darnytskyi district. Three people, including a 14-year-old girl, were injured as a result of the fall of fragments of Russian missiles.
