Yermak on Russian attacks: Tactics of nighttime flights of 'balalaikas' looks like agony
The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, said this in a post on the Telegram messaging app, Ukrinform reports.
"The tactics of nighttime flights of balalaikas look like agony," he wrote.
Yermak said that the Russians wanted to destroy the Ukrainian energy infrastructure back in October, but they could not, and Ukraine received more advanced air defense systems.
He also noted that Russia put a lot of effort into missiles and UAVs in November and December so that Ukrainians would celebrate the New Year in darkness, but, he added, the Russians failed to make that happen.
"Now they are looking for routes and attempts to somehow stab us, but their terror tactics will not work. Our sky will turn into a shield," Yermak said.
On the night of January 2-3, Ukraine's air defense forces destroyed 39 Russian Shahed drones, two Orlan-10s and a Kh-59 guided air missile.
