NATO Allies will continue to support Ukraine and supply it with more weapons because there can be no lasting peace if tyranny prevails over freedom.
According to Ukrinform, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said this in a speech to the Annual Conference of the Norwegian Confederation of Enterprises in Oslo on Thursday, January 5.
"Weapons are – in fact – the way to peace. […] There will be no lasting peace if oppression and tyranny win over freedom and democracy," Stoltenberg said.
He also stressed the importance of supporting Ukraine, including with more weapons, and called on Allies to invest more in defense, eliminate dependencies on authoritarian regimes, and to stand together to uphold freedom and democracy.
