Attack on market in Kharkiv region: Number of those injured grows to six
"Two women were killed as a result of the attack. According to updated information, six civilians were injured, including four women, a 23-year-old man and a 10-year-old girl," Dmytro Chubenko, spokesman of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, told an Ukrinform correspondent.
Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said during a nationwide telethon that the child received a shrapnel wound in the neck. The victim was taken to the hospital in Kharkiv for surgical intervention.
As reported, at about 09:00 on January 9, Russian troops launched a missile strike on a market in the liberated settlement of Shevchenkove, Kupiansk district. According to preliminary data, the invaders launched the attack on the settlement from Russia’s Belgorod region using an S-300 air defense system.
