Russian troops resume assault on Donetsk region’s Soledar – Maliar

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Defense Deputy Minister Hanna Maliar on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“After an unsuccessful attempt to capture Soledar and retreat, the enemy regrouped their forces, replenished losses, redeployed additional assault units, changed tactics and launched a powerful assault,” Maliar noted.

Currently, the enemy has engaged a large number of assault groups formed out of the best reserves of the Wagner Group.

According to Maliar, Russians literally step on corpses of their fellow soldiers, use artillery, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and mortars, opening fire against their own troops.

The Ukrainian military are bravely defending every inch of their native land. Fierce battles are raging there right now, Maliar stressed.
