Night in Soledar was 'hot,' battles continued – Ukraine's deputy defense minister

Fighting was going on in the city of Soledar, Donetsk region, at night.
Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar said this on the Telegram messaging app, Ukrinform reports.
"The night in Soledar was hot, battles continued. The enemy threw almost all the main forces to the Donetsk area and maintains a high intensity of offensive," Maliar said.
She noted that Ukrainian fighters are bravely trying to hold the defense.
"This is a difficult stage of the war, but we will win. There is no doubt," Maliar said.
On January 12, President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked all Ukrainian soldiers and praised the paratroopers and fighters who are holding their positions in Soledar and inflicting significant losses on the enemy.
