Russia launched missiles from north on ballistic trajectory – Ignat

On Saturday morning, January 14, Russia launched missiles from the northern direction on a ballistic trajectory.

Yuriy Ignat, spokesman for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this on the air of TV Channel 24, Ukrinform reports.

"Most likely, these are missiles that flew on a ballistic trajectory. It is clear that there is aftermath. The exact type of missiles is still being established... They flew from the northern direction. I’d like to note that we have no effective defense against ballistic missiles,” Ignat said.

According to him, this morning the air raid alert in Kyiv was declared later due to the lack of radar data and information from other sources.

As Ukrinform reported, several loud explosions rocked the city of Kyiv on the morning of January 14. After that, an air raid alert was announced in Kyiv and the region.
