Twelve settlements in Donetsk region come under Russian fire
"Donetsk region came under more than 30 enemy strikes. The police document war crimes. Over the past day, the Russians struck 12 settlements and wounded civilians," the Donetsk Region Department of the National Police informs.
In particular, Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Velyka Novosilka, Vremivka, Druzhba, Karlivka, Klishchiivka, Novy Komar, Ivanivske, Orlivka, Severne, Tonenke settlements were struck.
The invaders opened fire from aircraft, Grad MLRS, artillery, tanks, and mortars. A total of 34 Russian strikes were recorded. Thirteen civilian objects were destroyed and damaged: 11 private houses, an administrative building, and an outbuilding.
The enemy launched an airstrike on the village of Vremivka. Avdiivka was shelled most intensively: 14 times. In both cases, no casualties have been reported. "A person was injured in the village of Orlivka – ruscists hit a private house. It also became known that a civilian was injured in Bakhmut on January 16.
The National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine opened investigations under Article 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Over the past day, January 17, the local police helped evacuate 38 people in the region. Since the beginning of the mandatory evacuation, the police have helped evacuate 35,692 people, including 5,248 children and 2,022 people with disabilities.
As reported, Donetsk region is under constant Russian fire and has problems with electricity, heat, and water supply.
