Ihnat on helicopter crash in Brovary: Different factors could have contributed, details to be investigated
The relevant statement was made by Spokesperson for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yurii Ihnat during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Usually, air crash investigation takes a lot of time. The practice is so not only in Ukraine but all over the world. Each part of the helicopter is collected, each detail can say something, give more information on what had happened. Air crashes can have various reasons that might have had effect. A combination of factors could have contributed, as well as the weather conditions that had not been very favorable. The established commission will determine all the factors and give an assessment. It is not a matter of several days. It is necessary to fully establish, find out the details of what happened on that day,” Ihnat told.
A reminder that, on January 18, 2023, a helicopter crashed near a kindergarten and residential building in the Kyiv region’s Brovary. Fourteen people were reported killed (one child among them) and 25 injured. Ukrainian Internal Affairs Minister Denys Monastyrskyi, First Deputy Minister Yevhenii Yenin and State Secretary of the Ukrainian Internal Affairs Ministry Yurii Lubkovych were among those killed.
