More than 300 wounded Russians being treated in Starobilsk hospital in Luhansk region
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a morning update on Facebook on January 21, Ukrinform reports
"Over the past day, the enemy launched 7 missile strikes (3 of which hit the cities of Kramatorsk and Huliaipole) and 15 air strikes. They also carried out 68 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems, in particular, on the civilian infrastructure of Nikopol," the report says.
According to the General Staff, there is still a threat of enemy air strikes and missile attacks throughout Ukraine.
Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces have repelled enemy attacks near Novoselivske, Ploshchanka and Chervonopopivka settlements in Luhansk region and Bilohorivka, Rozdolivka, Vasiukivka, Krasna Hora, Yahidne, Bakhmut, Predtechyne, Vodiane and Maryinka in Donetsk region.
The General Staff emphasizes that Russian invaders suffer heavy losses every day. According to available information, more than 300 wounded occupiers are being treated in the surgical department of the Starobilsk city hospital in Luhansk region. To provide medical care, the Russians use not only the medical facilities of the temporarily occupied settlements in Kherson region, which are already overcrowded, but also equip kindergartens as field hospitals. All doctors of the central hospital of Nizhni Sirohozy village have been replaced, and now only the personnel of Russian occupation forces are being treated there.
The situation is similar in Kalanchak, where local doctors were dismissed, and medical personnel from Crimea were brought to replace them. Local residents are not allowed to visit the hospital.
"Over the past day, aircraft of the Defense Forces of Ukraine launched 18 strikes on enemy concentration areas, as well as four strike on the positions of their anti-aircraft missile systems. In addition, our defenders shot down two reconnaissance UAVs ‘Orlan-10’ and ‘Merlin-VR’. Units of the rocket forces and artillery hit a command post, two concentration areas and an ammunition depot of the occupiers," the General Staff of the Armed Forces said.
