Ukrainian prosecutors have no doubt Iran involved in UAV supplies to Russia
That’s according to Yurii Belousov, chief of the Department for Prosecuting Crimes Committed in Conditions of Armed Conflict with the Prosecutor General's Office, who spoke at the national telethon, Ukrinform reports.
"The prosecutor's office and investigative bodies have no doubt that Iran officials, entities, and individuals are involved in the production and delivery of these drones to the Russian Federation with the aim of their further use against our people," he said.
According to the prosecutor, this is evidenced by the available data, including that gathered by Ukrainian intelligence and its foreign counterparts.
"That is, we have information that confirms Iran's involvement in this," the head of the PGO department said, commenting on Iran's involvement in UAV supplies to Russia.
Belousov noted that the guilt of certain persons will be proven both in national and international courts.
"Right now, the investigative bodies and the prosecutor's office are gathering evidence with which we will be able to convince the court of the involvement of these persons in crimes. And for this purpose, hundreds of investigative actions, hundreds of examinations are being conducted, which will be completed in the near future," he explained.
The PGO official assures that there will be enough evidence proving guilt of officials and individuals of Iran, as well as representatives of any other countries that assist Iran in the development or supply of these drones, as well as their use in Ukraine.
"It is extremely important for us to trace the entire production and supply chain, as well as the direct use. All individuals who supply components, who assemble these machines, who supply them, who train Russians to use these drones, and those who directly launch drones at our citizens, at our cities, all of them must be identified," Belousov emphasized.
According to him, there are thousands of people, on many of whom information has already been obtained, but it will take time to identify others.
