Italy preparing sixth aid package to Ukraine
According to Ukrinform, Antonio Tajani, Italy's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, said this in an interview with Corriere della Sera.
"The conflict must end as soon as possible, but then it must be very clear for the allied countries of Ukraine that we must do everything possible to help this nation in its battle for independence," he said.
According to Tajani, Italy has already provided Ukraine with five military aid packages worth about EUR 1 billion and is preparing the sixth package, which includes air defense systems.
"In collaboration with France we are finalizing the sending of Samp-T, and there are other actions on which we are working confidentially," he said.
The minister said that "the Russian-Ukrainian conflict has amplified Russian disinformation." "The fight against this poisonous phenomenon must be decisive," he added, noting that one should not allow oneself to be "skewered with falsehoods and poison."
