Fortification structures set up in Kyiv

The relevant statement was made by Kyiv Defense Forces Commander Oleksandr Pavliuk on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Long-lasting fortification structures are being installed within the strongholds of the Kyiv Defense Forces’ units. Engineering works are carried out in cooperation with Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

Additionally, fighting positions are being set up within the potential routes of the enemy’s advance. Personnel shelters are being equipped. For this purpose, reinforced concrete structures are installed below the ground level to protect the lives of servicemen as much as possible.

Upon further arrangement works, such structures will make it possible to ensure the effective and safe operation of command and observation posts, as well as platoon and company strongholds, Pavliuk noted.

“Building defense lines, improving their equipment, installing engineering barriers. The work is constantly underway. Thus, any hopes of the enemy are in vain,” Pavliuk stressed.
