Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhnyi: Defense ministry, AFU have zero tolerance for corruption
The relevant statement was made by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The Defense Ministry and the Armed Forces of Ukraine have zero tolerance for corruption. Hence, any information about its possible manifestations should be thoroughly checked, receive a legal assessment and appropriate response. Shifting the responsibility or guilt of subordinates onto the managers not only harms a cause but also contradicts the management principles of NATO that we are striving for. This applies to both the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces,” Zaluzhnyi wrote.
In his words, the system of military management must be unshakable, especially in the conditions of the war.
“The Defense Ministry, according to the law, is the central body of executive power and military administration, to which the Armed Forces, the Main Intelligence Directorate and the State Special Transport Service are subordinated. The Minister of Defense conducts military, political and administrative management of the Armed Forces. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the needs of the troops increased rapidly. Together, we are overcoming the most difficult challenges in our recent history with dignity,” Zaluzhnyi noted.
According to Zaluzhnyi, the Ukrainian military are provided with accouterments, uniform, food of appropriate quality and in sufficient quantity.
