Russian missile attack and arms supplies: Zelensky holds Staff meeting
“President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a regular meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on Thursday. The participants heard reports from the commanders of the operational directions on the current situation at the front, and discussed the situation in the Bakhmut sector in detail,” the press service of the President’s Office informs.
As noted, the meeting participants discussed the supply of weapons and equipment and its operational distribution among the military groups. Special attention was paid to the training of Ukrainian defenders abroad.
The parties also discussed the consequences of the recent enemy missile attack on the territory of Ukraine and measures to counter future threats.
The meeting was attended by Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov, Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny, Chief of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Lytvynenko, Commander of the Ground Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi and commanders of the operational directions.
The meeting was also attended by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko, other members of the government, Acting Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Malyuk and other heads of security and law enforcement agencies.
As reported, during the day, the Russian troops launched 37 airstrikes on the territory of Ukraine, using 17 Shahed-136 UAVs. All the drones were shot down. In addition, the invaders launched 59 missiles, 47 of which were destroyed. As a result of the attack, civilian objects were hit and civilians were killed. In addition, the invaders launched 53 MLRS attacks.
