Canadian instructors mentoring recruits of Armed Forces of Ukraine in UK
“Instructors from 3rd Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry of the 1 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group of the 3rd Canadian Division of the Canadian Army of the Canadian Armed Forces are mentoring the recruits of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during Operation UNIFIER-UK in the United Kingdom,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Facebook.
As noted, after a hospitable and warm meeting and provision by Great Britain of all Ukrainian recruits with a full set of uniforms with wind and moisture protection properties for winter conditions, a set of personal protective equipment, equipment and a first aid kit, their fitting, the first classes began.
“The next step in training is a thorough study of safety precautions for handling weapons to ensure personal and unit safety. Learning the material part of weapons, learning the rules and order of their application and use, safety precautions for handling weapons and accurate shooting is an effective factor in effectively countering russia's unjust, illegal and aggressive war against Ukraine already on the battlefield,” reads the statement.
As reported, over 20,000 service members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine underwent training abroad last year.
