The head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, says Poland is ready to hand over F-16 fighter jets in coordination with NATO.
This was posted on Yermak’s Telegram channel, Ukrinform reports.
"Work on obtaining F-16 fighters continues. We have positive signals from Poland, which is ready to hand them over to us in coordination with NATO," Yermak said.
He added that "tanks, fighters are a great company for turning Russian enemies into fertilizer."
As reported, Ukraine seeks to obtain modern fighters jets - F-16s or F-15s - from the U.S. Air Force or their European counterparts - German Tornados or Swedish Gripens - to replace its fleet of Soviet-era warplanes currently in service.
