Ukraine will not use Western weapons for strikes on Russian territory - Reznikov
Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said this at a press conference on Sunday, February 5, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"We always emphasize to our Western partners that we will not use Western weapons [to launch strikes] on the territory of the Russian Federation," he said.
He noted that Ukraine primarily needs weapons for self-defense.
At the same time, Reznikov said that the Ukrainian Defense Ministry had identified several hundred important strategic military targets, including warehouses and enemy command posts, in the temporarily captured territories.
On February 3, 2023, the U.S. Department of Defense officially announced the disbursement of a new package of security assistance for Ukraine worth more than $2 billion. It includes, among other things, air defense equipment, armored combat vehicles, anti-tank equipment, as well as ammunition for HIMARS.
