Five injured in Russia's shelling of Chuhuiv district

Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said this in a post on the Telegram messaging app, Ukrinform reports.

"Today, at around 11:00, the occupiers shelled the village of Varvarivka, Chuhuiv district. Two civilians were wounded in the shelling: a 69-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman. In addition, at noon, the enemy shelled the town of Vovchansk. A 52-year-old man, an employee of the regional energy company, received a shrapnel wound," Syniehubov said.

He added that all the wounded had been hospitalized, with doctors providing them with all the necessary assistance.

Later, Syniehubov reported that four people had been wounded.

"According to an update from the Regional Center of Emergency Medical Assistance, a ten-year-old boy received a shrapnel wound in Vovchansk due to shelling by the occupiers. The child was hospitalized in a moderate condition," he said.

The press service of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office reported later that the number of those wounded in Russia's shelling of the Kharkiv region on the afternoon of February 8 had reached five.

"On February 8, at around 11:00, the occupiers shelled the village of Varvarivka of the Chuhuiv district. Two civilians were injured in the shelling: a 69-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman. Also, a 52-year-old man, a 10-year-old boy, and a 47-year-old woman were injured due to enemy shelling in the town of Vovchansk on February 8 at 12:00," the agency said.
