More than 50 explosions recorded in Sumy region over past day

Over the past day, Russian aggressors fired more than 50 mortar and artillery shells at the border communities of Sumy region, northern Ukraine.

“During the day [February 12], the enemy shelled four territorial communities of the region: Esman, Yunakivka, Krasnopillia, and Znob-Novhorodske. More than 50 explosions were recorded,” Sumy Regional Military Administration posted on Facebook.

The enemy fired 28 mortar bombs at Esman community, damaging a cafe in one of the community's villages. Later, around 14:00, four more explosions were recorded in the community.

One explosion was recorded in Znob-Novhorodske community.

The Russians shelled Krasnopillia community with artillery, firing nine rounds.

Yunakivka community was hit twice with mortars: three explosions were recorded after 14:00, and seven more after 18:00.

As reported, Russian troops shelled seven communities of Sumy region on February 10. More than 100 explosions were recorded.
