Russian warships are remaining on combat duty in the Black Sea, but the enemy is deploying them farther to the east in order to avoid Ukrainian missiles.

The relevant statement was made by Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces Natalia Humeniuk during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The enemy’s naval group is staying farther to east. They are moving into a more missile-safe area, as the narrative that we are waiting for the supply of long-range weapons does affect them. Thus, the enemy is trying to redeploy their naval group farther away, towards Novorossiysk,” Humeniuk told.

According to the data from the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of February 14, 2023, seven Russian warships were remaining combat ready in the Black Sea, including one missile carrier with a total volley of eight Kalibr-type missiles. One enemy warship was on combat duty in the Sea of Azov and 10 – in the Mediterranean Sea (including five missile carriers with a total volley of 72 Kalibr-type cruise missiles).

Over the past day, in the interests of the Russian Federation, passage through the Kerch-Yenikale Canal has been carried out as follows: 39 vessels have sailed into the Sea of Azov, including 13 vessels from the Bosphorus Strait; 11 vessels have sailed into the Black Sea, and six of them have gone towards the Bosphorus Strait.
