War update: Ukrainian forces hit six enemy ammo depots, two electronic warfare systems
The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Meanwhile, Russian troops launched two missile strikes on the Donetsk region’s civil infrastructure and three air strikes. Additionally, the enemy opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) 68 times, namely on civilian objects in the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.
The threat of Russian missile and air attacks is persisting all over Ukraine, according to the General Staff.
Making attempts to establish full control over the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Russian troops continue focusing efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions.
Over the past day, Ukrainian forces have repelled enemy attacks near more than 20 settlements, including the Kharkiv region’s Hrianykivka, the Luhansk region’s Nevske, Kreminna and Bilohorivka, the Donetsk region’s Fedorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Marinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar and Prechystivka.
In the Volyn, Polissia, Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, no enemy offensive groupings were detected. The enemy continues launching mortar and artillery strikes on the positions of Ukrainian forces, as well as settlements situated close to the contact line. Russian attacks affected the Chernihiv region’s Yanzhulivka and Tymonovychi, the Sumy region’s Tovstodubove, Bilokopytove, Vovkivka, Volfyne and Basivka, the Kharkiv region’s Veterynarne, Hraniv, Baranivka, Strilecha, Krasne, Ternova, Hlyboke, Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Zemlianky, Rublene, Chuhunivka, Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Kupiansk and Ridkodub.
In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, Russian invaders used tanks, mortars and artillery to attack over 20 settlements, including the Kharkiv region’s Berestove and Tabaivka, the Luhansk region’s Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Novoyehorivka, Makiivka, Chervonopopivka, Pishchane, Dibrova, Spirne, Rozdolivka, Serebrianske forestry and Bilohorivka, and the Donetsk region’s Fedorivka and Stepove.
In the Bakhmut direction, Russian occupiers launched mortar and artillery strikes on over 25 settlements, namely the Donetsk region’s Bilohorivka, Vesele, Paraskoviivka, Vasiukivka, Zaliznianske, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka, Zalizne and New York.
In the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, Russian troops used tanks, mortars and artillery to attack over 30 settlements, including the Donetsk region’s Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Vodiane, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Heorhiivka, Pobieda, Zolota Nyva, Prechystivka, Vuhledar, Mykilske and Vremivka.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Russian invaders opened fire on over 20 settlements, namely the Zaporizhzhia region’s Olhivske, Malynivka, Staroukrainka, Chervone, Huliaipilske, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv, Novoandriivka and Stepove.
In the Kherson direction, Russian occupiers launched artillery strikes on the outskirts and the city of Kherson, as well as over 30 settlements, including the Kherson region’s Zolota Balka, Havrylivka, Beryslav, Vesele, Inhulets, Lvove, Tiahynka, Antonivka, Zymivnyk, Bilozerka, Dniprovske and Veletenske.
The enemy continues to suffer losses. Near the Simferopol district’s Krasna Zorka, in order to conceal the number of those killed on the front, Russian invaders incinerate corpses. Up to 10 military vehicles are continuously waiting in line near a local crematorium. These trucks are used to transport the bodies of Russian servicemen and mercenaries. Civilians are not provided with cremation services.
